Product Description

This is a really delightful little bag from the late 1920s. This bag was most probably made to match an evening jacket or cape. The very fine silk brocade ( which reminds us of a Bianchini Ferier design) is rich in texture and it has a gorgeous abstract gold metallic thread motif which works beautifully well with the deep colors of the Damask Rose print. Please note how pretty each side is, conveying a different mood because of the design. The long oval flat cable chain is cleverly mounted diagonally on either side of the frame, this means that the bag does not fall open. Adding to it all, the thin brass frame is embossed with delicate flowers/leafs motif on the edge and the face.
